The Grandview Board of Aldermen unanimously approved an ordinance authorizing the purchase of a Rosenbauer Warrior 1,500 GPM pumper truck for the city’s fire department.
Aldermen commended city staff and fire department leadership for negotiating what they described as a favorable purchase. At the meeting Alderman Maloney thanked Jamal and Chief Baldwin for their work on the procurement and asked a clarifying question about vehicle color; the council confirmed the department will keep the new truck red.
The bill (No. 7847) was placed on its final passage and enacted as Ordinance No. 7585 after a recorded roll-call vote. Roll-call recorded Alderman Maloney, Alderman Kendrick, Alderman Randolph, Alderman Jones and Alderman Turnbull voting yes.
During discussion, Alderman Turnbull and others described the purchase as beneficial to citizens and staff. No contract dollar amount or delivery schedule was stated on the record.
