Grandview approves contracts for 2025 sidewalk repairs and sewer rehabilitation

The Board of Aldermen voted unanimously on Aug. 26, 2025, to approve two public-works contracts: one for the 2025 sidewalk and curb repair project with Terry Snelling Construction, Inc., and one for the 2025 sanitary sewer rehabilitation project with Advanced Rehabilitation Technology LLC.

Bill number 7866, authorizing a contract with Advanced Rehabilitation Technology LLC for sanitary sewer rehabilitation, passed and became Ordinance No. 7603 after a similar roll-call of aye votes.

Alderman Maloney asked how the city verifies subcontractors used by general contractors. A city staff member said the city generally requires references for the general contractor but does not require a subcontractor list at the time of bidding. “Pre-construction meeting, they will have the subcontractors,” the staff member said, and noted the city has not recently had problems with subcontractor selection for similar projects.

Both ordinances were placed on second reading and then on final passage at the Aug. 26 meeting; the meeting record shows unanimous affirmative votes on final passage.
