Roll-call votes recorded Alderman Rousey, Alderman Kendrick, Alderman Turnbaugh, Alderman Maloney and Alderman Randolph as voting "Aye."
City staff earlier described Blue Ridge Boulevard as a multi‑phase revitalization; the Phase 1 groundbreaking was cited in the budget presentation and the STBG agreement will apply federal funding toward Phase 3. During the meeting staff thanked grant-writing efforts that secured federal funds for multiple projects.
The board did not set a specific construction start date at the meeting; staff will coordinate implementation under the STBG agreement and with state timelines for federal fund utilization.
