The village posted a map, address ranges and an address lookup on wheelingil.gov/specialcensus and said census workers will be housed at the Public Works Building, 77 West Hintz Road, in a segregated workspace. Officials also emphasized legal protections for census data and said federal laws separate census records from other agencies. Staff asked residents to watch the village website for job postings and to participate electronically when mailings arrive; the village plans a substantial outreach effort and said the web page will show whether a given address is included in the special census.
