The Urbana Free Library Board of Trustees on July 8 approved an amendment to the fiscal-year 2026 budget to include an Urbana arts grant that had not been recorded in the prior fiscal year.
Board members said the amendment simply moves expected grant funds into the current year’s budget so the library can account for and spend the award. The motion to amend the FY26 budget was made, seconded, and approved by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
Staff described the item as routine bookkeeping to align the budget with recent grant activity. The board will consider the annual report and remaining budget items at a future meeting; no additional conditions or contingencies were attached to the amendment during the discussion.
