Ashley Mahand, representing the Lebanon Chamber of Commerce, briefed the council on chamber activities and membership at the Aug. 25 meeting.
Mahand said the chamber’s membership grew from 257 to 278 in the current fiscal year (October–September). She reported the chamber will have completed 27 ribbon cuttings by September, up from 20 the prior year, and highlighted partnerships such as Leadership Lebanon, which the chamber will relaunch on Sept. 17 in partnership with Lebanon Ready.
Mahand promoted the chamber’s “Good Morning Lebanon” events as a place for businesses to share news and invited council participation in the November 22 Christmas parade, noting registration was open and the theme was a “Christmas movie marathon.” She also invited councilmembers to the monthly Business Builders luncheons, which meet the third Friday of each month; the next luncheon will feature Ozark Fiber on Sept. 19 at noon at the Civic Center.
The mayor and council thanked Mahand for the update and for chamber‑city collaboration.
