The Lebanon City Council on Aug. 25 approved addendum number 2 to task order number 6 with Toth and Associates to provide additional engineering for steel pole work at Mother’s Garden and for cross-permitting work related to the I‑44 corridor.
Staff explained the project involves replacing a wooden pole between Mother’s Garden and the library entrance with a steel pole. The pole functions as a two‑way feed serving large industrial customers; the replacement also includes a recloser to permit back‑feeding from an alternate supply.
Council heard that securing the electrical contractor (BBC) allowed the city and contractor to finalize traffic-control plans and identify additional engineering needs for MoDOT cross-permitting where the work crosses the I‑44 corridor.
Council approved the ordinance on first and second readings; staff said the addendum is to ensure safe traffic control and final engineering prior to construction.
Staff advised that final scheduling would follow contractor coordination and permitting.
