The Lebanon City Council approved a professional-services task order to import the city’s stormwater CAD drawings into ArcGIS Online and to develop digital inspection templates and asset mapping. Staff said the work will allow the city to manage stormwater infrastructure the same way it manages other public works assets.
Why it matters: State and federal stormwater requirements increasingly require documented inspections and maintenance; converting CAD to GIS and adding inspection forms will support compliance and asset management.
City staff said the work is under a previously approved master agreement with the consultant and that the firm specializes in CAD-to-GIS conversions and stormwater asset mapping. Staff described the deliverables as geospatial alignment of infrastructure, inspection templates, and guidance for field crews to capture photographs, invert elevations, and material types.
Council approved the ordinance authorizing services with Surveying and Mapping LLC; Council Bill 69-15 became Ordinance 71-57. Staff said inspection scheduling and maintenance-date tracking will be part of the implementation and that crews will take photographs and collect field data under the new system.
The council recorded the vote with affirmative roll calls; staff will oversee procurement and project initiation under the existing master agreement.
