Council adopts code changes for peddler applications and alcohol premise authorization

The Lebanon City Council on Aug. 25 adopted changes to the city code that revise the peddler and solicitor application sections and finalize a premise-authorization form required for establishments serving alcohol.
City staff explained the amendments were limited to the application process and the addition of a written premise authorization from the property owner for alcohol service at a location. Planning and legal staff said there were no substantive changes between the first and second readings.
Council moved and seconded the ordinance and the roll call recorded approval. The ordinance will be incorporated into Chapter 10 (Businesses) of the municipal code and enforce the updated application forms and procedures.
The council did not indicate further revisions at this meeting; staff said businesses seeking code details should consult the city clerk’s office or the municipal code once the ordinance is posted.
Councilmembers recorded affirmative votes on the motion as shown in the meeting minutes.
