At the Sept. 10, 2025 meeting, planning staff reported several building permits issued in August and said recent applications make a meeting on Oct. 8 likely. Staff also notified the board that alternate member Velasco has moved out of the city and indicated she can no longer serve in the alternate position.
"You should have the monthly report for the month of August. As you can see, we did have several home permits issued this month," a planning staff member said during the meeting. The staff member asked board members to let staff know their availability for a likely Oct. 8 meeting and said they would follow up with a meeting invite if needed.
On board membership, staff said Velasco has moved out of the city since being appointed and that the city is "in the process of trying to fill the 2 alternate positions" so a full board will be available for future meetings. "I spoke with the city manager this morning, and we're gonna try and go ahead and get 2 new board members appointed as alternates in the meantime," the staff member said.
The meeting also included a procedural public hearing for a withdrawn application, Prairie Pines Lot 3 (case 25030). Because the application had been advertised, the board opened and immediately closed the hearing; the applicant later withdrew and no action was required. The staff member apologized for the administrative oddity and confirmed the withdrawal.
No public comments were recorded on these staff items. The meeting adjourned at 6:17 p.m.
