Council adopts fee schedule updates including water/sewer tap and parks fees

Raymore — The City Council adopted Resolution 25‑42, amending the municipal schedule of fees for fiscal year 2026, after a staff report outlining targeted adjustments to several fee categories. Ms. Williams, a city staff presenter, told the council development‑services zoning and permitting fees were updated to better reflect the staff time required to process applications. She said the Lisenbee (tax review) committee recommended increasing the excise tax per trip by the Construction Cost Index rate as of June 2025 (2.4%). Water and sewer tap fees were adjusted by the same index (2.4%), and meter supply fees were updated to reflect the city’s purchase costs for equipment. The parks and recreation section of the schedule includes new rental fees tied to the recently completed pickleball courts and adjusted fees for expanded park‑facility usage; Williams said those park fee changes were approved by the parks board on July 22. Staff also noted the changes to the development services fee tables and provided those details in the meeting packet. City staff opened the item for public hearing; no members of the public addressed the council and the hearing was closed. Councilmember Delgado moved to approve the resolution and Councilmember Holman seconded; the resolution carried on a unanimous roll call. Staff said additional details and the schedule showing fee changes were included in the council packet for review. The resolution will be filed in city records and implemented by the relevant departments in line with the fiscal‑year schedule and department procedures.
