The mayor announced at the Aug. 4 work session that he will nominate two reappointments and one new appointment to the Raymore Arts Commission for council approval at the next regular meeting.

The mayor said he had consulted with staff member Miss Harmer on the recommendations and that Mister Hightower will replace Cole Young on the Arts Commission after Young resigned. "The 2 are reappointments. 1 is a new appointment. Mister Hightower will be replacing Cole Young on the, boards and commissions," the mayor said.

The mayor said these nominations will be placed on the agenda for council action; no formal votes on the appointments were taken at the work session.
