Staff presented facility usage and membership statistics for the summer season and discussed outreach and partnerships. Pools and memberships: Staff said Crystal Lake Park pool visitation was essentially steady compared with last year, with about 39,448 visits recorded this season (not counting program/camp-specific visits). Membership sales increased from 484 in 2024 to 528 in 2025, which staff noted as a continuing positive trend. Health and wellness center: Staff reported 264 SilverSneakers members for the health and wellness center and said the district had been approved to accept the SilverSneakers benefit for pool access (indoor and outdoor pools); the district is still arranging equipment and gate processes to support those members. Staff also referenced an additional employer/insurer program (Well on Target through Blue Cross Blue Shield) with three members so far. New facility usage and scholarships: A newly opened facility (referred to as Big David in the packet) has had 7,804 unique visitors since opening and total visitation across reported facilities was 41,924. Staff reported the OSF scholarship fund had $30,000 allocated for the year, with $26,591 distributed so far to 342 participants (figure reported in the meeting). Staff also described partnerships with Urbana Police and neighborhood groups for programming and outreach. Why it matters: The usage numbers inform programming and scholarship needs and indicate how new facilities and benefit partnerships are being adopted. Staff recommended continuing outreach to referral sources and local partners to increase awareness of facilities and programs. What’s next: Staff said they will continue monthly reporting and work with marketing to provide brochures and outreach to local physical-therapy providers and referral partners to boost awareness of available programs and partnerships.
