Urbana Free Library renovation to begin mid-August; staff holding daily construction meetings

Everyone who is, working that morning gets together and we talk about, you know, pinch points or ideas people have to improve things and, you know, we leave that meeting and try to implement where we can," he said.
Trustees asked about traffic flow through work areas; Don reported the current arrangements are functioning and staff are continuously adjusting processes to reduce disruption. No formal vote was associated with the update; it was provided as an operational briefing in the administrative reports section of the meeting.
The board president reminded trustees there will be ongoing coordination as the renovation proceeds and encouraged outreach regarding the board vacancy created by a departing trustee.
