City Council votes to enter closed executive session citing Missouri Revised Statutes

At the opening of the meeting the City Council voted to adjourn into a closed executive session to discuss legal actions, leasing or sale of real estate, contract negotiations and individually identifiable personnel records, citing Missouri Revised Statutes §610.021(1), (2), (12) and (13). Mayor Larkey called the meeting to order and said, "We have a quorum." On a motion and second the council moved to close the public meeting and adjourn into executive session; the motion passed on a roll-call vote. Under Missouri law the public body may meet in closed session for the listed subjects.
