Quad Cities providers urge coordinated, multiagency approach to homelessness in Rock Island

Christian Care described its local shelter and meal operations and the one-on-one casework it offers. The Rock Island Rescue Mission can house 42 men and Martha’s House can house 20 single women or women with children; Martha’s House has six bedrooms. The agency said it expects its meal program to serve about 45,000 meals this year, an increase of roughly 3,000 from the previous year, and that meals are served 365 days a year.
