FENTON, Aug. 14, 2025 — The Board of Aldermen voted unanimously during a special meeting Friday to approve an amendment to its agreement with Clarity Boulders LLC that adds $39,300 for additional location locator signs in Fenton’s city parks.
The measure began as bill 25-54. After a first reading, Erin, a city staff member, said, “I’d like to make a motion to seek a waiver of the rules for a second reading.” The board approved the waiver by voice vote, and aldermen then advanced the measure to a second reading and adoption as ordinance 45-75.
The ordinance authorizes the mayor to execute the amendment to the agreement with Clarity Boulders LLC for the “2025 Fenton City Parks Boulder Signs Project.” The amendment’s total cost was stated in the meeting as $39,300. The mayor presided over the meeting as aldermen recorded a roll call vote on the ordinance; each alderman present voted “aye.” Alderman Rogers was absent.
There was no substantive debate recorded on the amendment during the meeting. The action followed routine procedure: first reading, a successful request to waive rules to allow immediate second reading, a second reading and motion to adopt, and a roll-call adoption vote.
The transcript did not specify the funding source for the amendment, the contract’s prior value, or a project schedule. Implementation details and budget origin were not stated during the meeting.
