The Christian County Commission voted to renew the assessor’s office software contract with Ulrich for an additional term starting Sept. 24 and ending Sept. 23, 2026. The contract covers licenses and maintenance for the computer‑assisted mass appraisal (CAMAS) system used by the assessor.
Purchasing agent Miss Kim presented the item and introduced Jeremy Burns, the newly sworn‑in county assessor. Burns was present but did not read substantive details on record; county staff explained this is the third renewal year of the vendor contract originally entered in 2022. County staff said the renewal was the recommended action.
A county staff member explained why the Ulrich system is used: “every assessor's office has to have a CAMAS system, computer assisted mass appraisal. And Ulrich, it is their system that we use for our CAMAS system. And so and they are also a locally owned company right here in Christian County. They're out in Nixon, Missouri.” The staff member added that roughly two or three dozen counties in the state use Ulrich’s product.
Commissioners noted the renewal included about a $2,000 annual increase compared with prior years. After discussion, a motion to approve the contract renewal was made, seconded and passed by voice vote. The commission record shows the renewal was accepted and will be implemented by the assessor’s office under existing procurement terms.
Background: The CAMAS system supports valuation and property records for real estate and personal property; the contract provides software licenses and maintenance services.
