The Police/Municipal Courts committee on Jan. 9 recommended forwarding a one‑year extension of an agreement with the Gravois Bluffs Transportation Development District to continue funding for 10 license‑plate‑reader cameras.
A staff memo said the agreement expires March 31 and that the TDD and the city both wish to extend it for another year at a total cost to the city of $25,000 — $2,500 per camera for 10 cameras. Aldermen did not raise objections during discussion; Alderman Clause moved to forward the extension to the board meeting and Alderman Jokers seconded the motion. The committee approved forwarding the item for board consideration.
