The Board of Aldermen approved Bill No. 3503, an ordinance authorizing the city administrator to prepare and enter into an agreement with C and R Mechanical to provide preventive-maintenance services for HVAC systems at the municipal aquatic center. The measure passed on a roll-call vote and became Ordinance No. 3408.
City staff member Matt Roeckau explained the request as an addition to the city’s existing preventative-maintenance contract to include HVAC equipment at the aquatic center. Roeckau said the change “adds the systems up there to the current preventative contract.”
Council members asked no substantive questions on the record. The board voted in favor of adoption; the clerk recorded members as voting yea (names recorded in the meeting roll call were included in the official minutes). The city clerk later reflected Bill No. 3503 as adopted and assigned Ordinance No. 3408.
City staff will proceed with a service agreement consistent with the ordinance to bring the aquatic center HVAC under routine preventive maintenance.
