The Public Safety Committee approved a resolution to allow finance to amend the budget to cover a $19,131 charge for two new police Tahoes. Chief White explained the vehicles were delayed by parts and installation — "After 18 weeks of delay on the parts and then 5 months delay on the install, those are done. So we now owe $19,131," he said — and the resolution authorizes moving last year's appropriation to the current fiscal year so the charge can be paid.
A motion to approve the resolution passed in committee by roll call (Blackburn: yes; Ford: yes; Stouffel: yes; Newcomb: yes). The committee forwarded the resolution to the full council for final budget amendment action.
