Representatives from TP Liquor — who identified themselves in the meeting as owner Ashok Patel and manager Dhruv Patel — spoke to the council and said they had been managing TP Liquor for about two to three months and were making physical changes. Dhruv Patel said the store had upgraded camera systems and would increase lighting and cleaning. The council welcomed the new owners and encouraged continued improvements; one alderman said lighting “deter[s]” crime and thanked the owners for their efforts.
Council members said they would return the items to the full council for a vote to reflect the updated ownership records. No liquor license revocations or sanctions were discussed or taken at the meeting.
