Addison board adopts $158.5 million appropriations ordinance, institutes six‑month video‑gaming license moratorium and approves equipment and service buys

The Village of Addison Board on Monday approved the fiscal 2025–26 appropriation ordinance and a slate of resolutions and purchases covering public safety equipment, streetlight replacements, traffic signal battery backups and network infrastructure.

Kelly, a village staff member presenting the budget, told the board the total appropriation is $158,532,124, including $23,798,000 for the library and $134,734,124 for the village. "The Village current financial condition is stable and the proposed appropriations ordinance will keep us in compliance with our fund balance policy," Kelly said. The ordinance reflects carryover projects and several items not anticipated when the budget was originally approved and represents an increase of about 4.9 percent over the original village budget.

Separately, the board approved a six‑month moratorium on issuance of business licenses to video‑gaming establishments.
