The Village Board of Glendale Heights adopted several appointment resolutions at its Sept. 4 meeting, approving candidates for police and municipal boards and commissions.
The board adopted Resolution 2025‑R‑101 to appoint Silviano Gomez as a police commissioner to the Board of Police Commissioners. Trustee Schmidt moved the resolution, Trustee Siddiqui seconded, and the roll call vote recorded approval. The board also adopted Resolution 2025‑R‑102 to appoint members to the Police Pension Fund Board of Trustees and Resolution 2025‑R‑103 to appoint commissioners to the Planning and Zoning Commission; both measures passed on roll-call votes.
Separately, the board considered Resolution 2025‑R‑104 appointing members to the Ordinance Committee. A motion to table the resolution failed for lack of a second, and a subsequent motion to adopt R‑104 passed by roll call. During discussion a board member requested tabling while Trustee Light was absent; the board acted to proceed when no second to the tabling motion was offered.
The meeting transcript records the formal motions, seconds, and roll-call affirmations for each resolution. No contested nominations or recorded dissent beyond the single recorded “No” vote on R‑104 by one trustee were noted. The resolutions will be recorded in the village’s official minutes and implemented by the respective departments and committee chairs.
