The village board approved awarding the Depot Road retaining wall replacement project to low proposer EGF Enterprises for $48,578.73. Staff said an earlier award in April had to be revisited after the contractor originally bid only half of the wall; following clarifications and a reprice the vendor confirmed the full length was included. The wall along Old Grand Avenue north of Depot was described as bowing outward and in need of replacement. Trustee Ross moved the award and Trustee O'Brien seconded. Roll call recorded six ayes and the motion carried. Staff said they were confident the contractor’s updated price includes the entire length of the wall and that prior positive experience with the contractor supported the award.
