The Village of Gurnee approved a professional services agreement with Clark Dietz (not to exceed $255,700) to design replacement plans for about 2.25 miles of aging water main across several village areas. Village engineering staff told trustees the water mains date to the 1960s and have experienced significant breaks; preparing designs now will allow the village to proceed quickly with construction when funding is obtained. The work will be completed over two fiscal years so plans are 'shelf ready.' Trustee Ross moved the contract; Trustee Garner seconded. The roll call showed six aye votes and the agreement was approved.
