Chamber reports busy calendar: golf fundraiser, women's networking and open invitation to businesses

A representative of the Webster Groves Chamber of Commerce updated commissioners on the chamber's schedule and outreach. The chamber representative said the chamber marked a one-year anniversary for its women's networking group and plans a "back to business" day of activities next week starting with coffee at Maybach and concluding with an evening after-hours gathering. The chamber reported that Maxine Clark, founder of Build-A-Bear, has agreed to appear for a 2026 fireside chat and that the chamber's annual golf tournament—branded with a Wizard of Oz theme—is selling rapidly with proceeds earmarked for PGA Reach and other local charities. The chamber representative said many chamber events are open to nonmembers and encouraged business-district commissioners to attend and promote them; the representative also offered to share wallet-size promotional materials and asked for suggestions for a local charity to receive proceeds. No formal board action or funding allocation was taken at the commission meeting during this update.
