Commission accepts city manager and police recommendation on Southcore delivery response

The Traffic Advisory Commission voted at its August meeting to accept a city manager memo endorsing the Webster Groves Police Department’s recommendation of no changes related to a previously discussed Southcore delivery issue.
Chair Clark briefed commissioners that the police department had recommended no changes and the city manager agreed. A commissioner moved “that we accept the response and let it go.” The motion received a second, and the commission approved the motion by voice vote. The commission did not ask staff to forward the matter to the city council for further action.
Commission members who live or drive in the area acknowledged the concern but said available options did not appear likely to improve conditions. The commission’s acceptance closes the issue at the advisory level unless council later asks for further review.
