Resident tells commission a child was struck in Rock Hill crosswalk; members push for quicker pedestrian safety actions

Anne Luther, a Webster Groves resident, told the Traffic Advisory Commission at its August meeting that “a child on their way to school was hit by a car in a crosswalk” near Southwest Park and urged commissioners to prioritize quick, actionable pedestrian-safety improvements. She said the child “injured their arm” but that the incident “could have been a lot worse.”
