The Architecture Review Board approved design clarifications for a new single‑family house at 439 Landscape Court, directing the applicant to return stone wainscot around the side of the garage and lower the stone at the front columns to align with the garage, lower the horizontal band board on the garage gable to align with the front porch beam, add a window on the garage side to match the adjacent mudroom window, and allow the option to eliminate shutters on the front elevation.
Board member Carol Dunkey requested that the horizontal trim board over the front garage gable be lowered to align with the porch beam to make the three front‑facing gables appear consistent. Nathan Farrow, the project architect representing Pentrix Development, agreed to return the stone around the corner and to add or match the window on the garage side.
The board’s motion recorded that the stone at the front columns will be lowered to align with the garage stone, that the stone will be returned along the side of the garage adjacent to the front door, and that the horizontal band board over the garage gable will be lowered. The motion also included an option for the applicant to omit shutters from the front elevation. The board voted unanimously to approve with these clarifications.
During the review, board members noted the front elevation already contained multiple materials (stone, two siding types and shingle siding) and recommended simplifying the composition. The applicant acknowledged those comments and said the stone return and veneer adjustments would be updated on the drawings.
The approval permits the applicant to revise the front elevation for consistency and requires the applicant to update plans to show the returned stone and the added garage window prior to final staff signoff.
