Old Webster District Commission members reviewed mock-ups for new decorative parking signs and signaled a preference for the cleaner, simpler logo option. Laura Burns, a staff member who prepared the designs, presented graphics contrasting the existing “Old Webster” lettering with the city’s logo and said the commission could replace the current signs. She said the mock-ups show the W, S and R in “Old Webster” differing in size under the current design and that the proposed option 3 is “cleaner.” The commission discussed color and longevity. A member asked whether the leaf color on option 3 would be orange rather than red; Burns said the proofs from the sign shop will show the final orange color and sizing adjustments. Commissioners also noted that the new circular graphics would fit with existing sign housings, and that the final sign vendor proofs will be reviewed before production. No formal vote or funding action was recorded during the discussion. The commission asked staff to finalize proofs and confirm sizing and color with the sign shop before ordering.
