Webster Groves holds nonmandatory pre-bid for 25PW05 mill-and-overlay and concrete slab work on Edgar Road and nearby streets

This is a nonmandatory pre-bid meeting for Project 25PW05, Mill and Overlay, covering Edgar Road, Murdoch Avenue, South Elm and three parking lots, City of Webster Groves Department of Public Works staff said.

The project calls for milling 2 inches of asphalt and placing a 2-inch overlay on the identified asphalt roadways and parking lots, replacement of eight-inch-thick concrete roadway slabs at specific locations on Murdoch and South Elm, and striping work including 4-inch double-yellow hot thermoplastic centerlines, 24-inch white thermoplastic crosswalks and stop bars and bicycle shared-road symbols on Edgar Road.

Brad, a City of Webster Groves Department of Public Works staff member, told attendees the contract separates line items for streets versus parking lots because of different work features, and that temporary traffic control will be paid as one lump sum for the entire job.
