The board accepted a formal letter of resignation from Kevin Schultz effective Nov. 30, 2025; commissioners said Schultz will be missed and asked staff to advertise the vacancy promptly. "It is a great loss. You know, he will be truly missed," one commissioner said on the record when the resignation was accepted. The board voted to accept the resignation.
Separately, County maintenance staff requested authorization to refill a full‑time custodian/maintenance position at the courthouse with a proposed salary of $39,300 initially noted and later set by motion at $40,800 annually. A motion to hire the custodian at an annual salary of $40,800 was moved, seconded and approved by the commissioners.
Commissioners noted they would start advertising for the IS/IT supervisor position soon and asked staff to ensure the hiring process moves quickly to maintain continuity of services.
