Park County planning staff told commissioners that DSR 1 (Development Standards Review round 1) will take effect Oct. 1 and that staff is finalizing documents for recordation, while work on DSR 2 continues with consultant input and additional public-facing materials expected later in the month.
In the meeting update, staff said the county is reviewing final documents for DSR 1 to prepare them for recording and publication. For DSR 2, staff said they received updated summaries from consultants reflecting public input collected during earlier meetings and that planning and zoning staff and a technical working group are reviewing use and zoning considerations. Staff said they expect additional readable summaries to be available by mid-to-late September for planning and zoning and the technical working group to review before further public outreach.
Planning staff asked commissioners for patience as the consultant and staff refine use categories and standards; no formal action was taken at the meeting on DSR 2. The update positions DSR 2 as the next stage of work to refine standards and uses based on public comment and consultant recommendations.
What’s next: Planning and zoning will continue to work with consultants and the technical working group on uses and standards; staff expects further materials by mid- to late September and subsequent public engagement.
