Fremont County commissioners approved two amendments to the county’s treatment-court contracts with the Wyoming Judicial Branch during the May 24 meeting.
The amendments matter because they adjust the county’s contractual relationship with the state judiciary for treatment-court services, including funding and the scope of juvenile treatment services.
County staff presented Amendment 1 to the treatment-court contract and asked the board to approve. A motion was made and seconded; the board approved the amendment by voice vote. The board then approved a separate funding amendment (identified as Amendment 1 to the treatment funding contract for juvenile services) after a second motion and voice vote.
Staff did not report substantive debate in the public record; both items were recorded as approved by the commissioners. The board recorded that the amendments were within available funds and directed staff to finalize signatures and file the executed documents.
