The board voted to approve a five-year cooperative-endeavor agreement (2025–2030) with the LSU AgCenter 4-H Youth Development program to provide informal education programming in district schools. Miss Sherry Roger, LSU AgCenter 4-H youth-development extension agent for Terrebonne Parish, presented the agreement. The education technology and policy committee recommended board approval and authorized the superintendent to sign the necessary documents. During discussion Board members raised the opportunity to expand agricultural programming into secondary schools and asked staff and LSU representatives to explore curriculum and technical assistance that could support high-school-level agricultural courses in the district. A board member noted neighboring districts already run agricultural programs and suggested outreach to replicate existing curricula. The motion passed by the committee and was approved at the board meeting with no public opposition recorded.
