School board introduces newly appointed principals, assistant principals and central-office hires

The school board used its July meeting to introduce newly appointed principals, assistant principals and central-office hires who will begin work in the coming year. The superintendent and board members welcomed newly appointed principals for Terrebonne High, Legion Park Elementary, Acadian Elementary, Upper Little Caillou Elementary, Montague Elementary and more. Newly introduced principals included Tricia Malaso (Terrebonne High), Ronica Coleman (Legion Park Elementary), Christy Dardar (Acadian Elementary), Tracy Chauvin (Upper Little Caillou Elementary), Summer Skorky (Montague Elementary), and others who spoke briefly about their backgrounds and priorities. The board also introduced assistant principals and administrative interns for several schools, including Justin Ward (assistant principal, Terrebonne High), Ruth Celestine (administrative intern, Ellender Memorial High), Katie Laday (administrative intern, South Terrebonne High School), and Emily Casey (assistant principal, Grand Caillou Elementary), among others. Appointees described prior experience, relationships with the community, and priorities such as sustaining instructional gains, community engagement, and readiness for the school year. Board members repeatedly emphasized continuity, gratitude for past work at schools, and support for the incoming leaders. No formal votes were required to introduce the slate; personnel assignments were presented as informational items and will be reflected in the district's personnel records for the 2025–26 school year.
