The Terrebonne Parish School Board adopted its 2025–26 operating budgets and approved salary-scale adjustments that increase annual pay for many support employees, the board announced at its July meeting. Board members also approved several position reclassifications. The finance committee presented the budget adoption resolution covering general operating, multiple sales-tax funds, the child-nutrition fund and other special revenue funds. The resolution included a package of personnel reclassifications and a salary adjustment described in the motion as an increase of $3,000 per year for all full-time, 240-day support employees, with specified exclusions. During debate board members praised support staff and offered an amendment to reclassify the executive assistant to the board to a higher pay scale; the amendment passed by voice vote. Moved by Mr. Boisand and seconded as recorded, the budget motion then passed with no objections heard at the meeting. Board members said the raise package recognizes long-term support staff and addresses recruitment and retention. The board also reclassified certain positions in purchasing, human resources and facilities management and added a buyer position in the purchasing department, as set out in the resolution. Board members discussed careful application of the changes and noted one member recused from votes affecting positions where a relative could benefit. The budget resolution also authorized the district to sign the Louisiana compliance questionnaire for the 2024–25 audit and recorded routine approvals connected to capital and operational planning for the school year.
