Board members approved the administration’s recommendation after brief discussion about reproduction fees. The committee clarified that most instructional materials are provided electronically; when parents or others request printed copies, the district will charge 50¢ per page and may assess overtime charges if an employee must work beyond normal hours to fulfill the request. The change in the IFA policy was presented as required to reflect updates in state law. Committee members asked whether the district would adopt a single fixed fee; district staff said there is not currently a universal flat fee for every request but that the local practice is a 50¢ per printed page charge when staff print materials on request. The superintendent confirmed that most materials are distributed electronically and said the 50¢ figure was the local practice. Committee discussion also noted that fees for photocopying follow normal administrative practice and that electronic delivery remains the default. The committee opened and closed a vote on the revision; the motion passed.
