Committee approves district acceptance of state one‑time stipends for certificated and support staff

The Livingston Parish Public Schools budget committee approved the district’s acceptance and distribution plan for a state one‑time stipend for eligible certificated and support staff, with payments scheduled for Oct. 8.

A presenter identified as Mr. Purvis explained the stipends are state funds authorized during the legislative session and will be issued as a one‑time payment of $2,000 for certificated employees and $1,000 for support staff.
