The deadline is 12:00 noon on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2025. Applications must include the applicant's date of birth, street address, how long the applicant has lived in District 8, and a brief statement explaining why the applicant deserves to serve as interim board member for District 8.
The board set a 10-minute interview format per candidate. Each candidate will present an opening statement addressing: (a) reasons for desiring to serve as interim board member from District 8; (b) special skills or experience to offer; and (c) the candidate's perspective on the role of a board member. Candidates may give a brief summary statement if time permits.
Board members noted related scheduling for Sept. 2: an insurance and finance committee meeting at 2 p.m., an audit committee meeting at 3 p.m., followed by a special call to consider an RFP and then the District 8 vacancy interviews and selection.
