Council allows food truck at community center for two trial dates

Applicants said the events are intended as low‑cost community gatherings with informal vendor tables and music; the council limited the authorization to the two dates and asked staff to require proof of insurance and naming the city as an additional insured where appropriate. Staff confirmed fees and the required resident or nonprofit rental rates will apply and that the city will not be listed as event sponsor.
Councilors emphasized the need for vendor permits and insurance, and said staff should apply the usual rules for catered events where a food truck supplies food on site. The council’s motion to allow the truck for the two dates passed by voice vote.
