Yu said events would be limited to daytime hours, would not include alcohol and would host up to 40 people: “No alcohol is allowed. I like to stay away from problems...it’s going to be 40 or less people,” he said.
Staff noted a prior banquet facility had been approved in the shopping center for a different suite; planning staff recommended denial for a banquet at this specific suite because of its proximity to residential uses but noted a vocational facility posed no issue. Commissioners discussed conditional limits and enforcement challenges for capacity and alcohol, and agreed to the Enterprise Town Board’s condition limiting hours to county daytime hours (which extend to 10 p.m. under Title 30) and to a two‑year review of the permit. The commission approved the application with those conditions.
The approval is final at the planning commission level unless appealed; the permit will be subject to building‑permit and business‑license requirements (including any separate liquor licensing processes if alcohol were later sought).
