The Clark County Planning Commission approved an application to vacate portions of patent easements between Kevin Way and Craig Road in the Lone Mountain area, finalizing action on VS250157.
Staff told the commission the Lone Mountain Citizen Advisory Committee recommended approval and that the county received one card in support and two in opposition. Planning consultant Colin McHale, representing the property owner, said the owner sought “the vacation of the North 33 foot easement and the vacation of the West 3 feet of the East 33 foot easement,” while maintaining a 30-foot right of way on Kevin Way and a 50-foot right of way on the south side off Craig Road.
A member of the public raised concerns about ownership and conflicts; commissioners limited public remarks to comments related to this application and then moved to a vote. A motion to approve VS250157 passed. The commission recorded the item as final action unless appealed to the Board of County Commissioners.
The action was a straight approval with no additional conditions recorded at the hearing. Appeals for items on the agenda must be filed in writing with the Comprehensive Planning Department by the published deadline for this meeting.
