Applicant Christian Olivares told commissioners the work will include replacing tires and adding a smog shop. Commissioners raised concerns about the new bay doors facing Desert Inn and potential neighborhood impacts. Commissioner Kirk questioned whether the bays should be relocated and reviewed the building layout with the applicant. Chair Kolarski said she shared concerns about conversion to a tire-store typology common on the east side of the valley and required the two-year review to ensure the site is maintained.
No members of the public spoke during the hearing on this item. Chair Kolarski moved to approve GR25-0303 with a two-year review; the motion passed.
