The Clark County Commission on June 17 approved a short extension to the county’s existing agreement with The Animal Foundation (TAF) to allow continued shelter operations while the county, the City of Las Vegas and North Las Vegas complete a new procurement process.
Deputy County Manager Leslie Shell briefed the board that the extension will last for up to six months to allow the jurisdictions to complete an RFP and negotiate a new contract. “This will allow us to continue those contract negotiations, and the extension is for a period of up to 6 months,” Shell said.
