The approval followed questions from commissioners and a public-works clarification about vehicle access and sight lines. Commissioner Christian Jones said the revised appearance was "consistent with what we're headed with cell towers," and asked how often technicians would need to access the site; Johnson replied crews typically visit "maybe once every two months." Antonio from public works told the commission that the latest plan shows a gate running along a block wall line and that "we do have site visibility requirements" that will require modification of part of the wall so trucks can see oncoming traffic; he said that modification "is not waivable."
Staff described the item on the agenda as a holdover use permit (UC 25 0 2 4 7) that included waivers of certain development standards and design review in conjunction with an existing plant nursery. Commissioner Jones said he and public works had discussed proximity to the Lindell intersection and noted that, "if Lindell ends up getting widened or turned into something bigger," the applicant must ensure technicians can enter and exit the site safely.
The applicant noted the tower will "be able to house 3 carriers" so that multiple providers can collocate on a single structure rather than build separate towers. With the caveat that the developer must adjust the gate and wall to meet site-visibility requirements, Jones moved approval; the motion passed.

Commission staff and the applicant will need to finalize engineering and right-of-way adjustments required by public works before building permits are issued.
