The Board of Selectmen’s board of permits reviewed and moved forward with several routine special-event and vendor licenses. A raffle application for Speedway Children's Charity was accepted; staff noted the annual nature of the event and that expected attendance and prior history raised no concerns. The board also approved a temporary vendor and tent permit application from Jack Naser/LE Oil for a vendor operating near the racetrack for dates in September; planning and fire officials confirmed tent permits, engineering and ballast documentation had been submitted and permit fees paid. Town staff also notified the public that Richard Serino of Horsepower Farms had been granted a rescheduled special-event license for an open-house car show on Oct. 6 after severe weather forced cancellation earlier in the season. Board members recorded no unresolved concerns and closed the board-of-permits session after acceptance of the items.
