Clark County commissioners voted to proceed with the condemnation process to acquire a strip of land needed to complete Tropicana Avenue improvements west of Conquistador Street, after a public hearing at the Aug. 5 meeting.
The county’s Department of Public Works said the project requires approximately 4,700 square feet of right of way to construct pavement, curb, gutter, sidewalk and a streetlight. Department representative Kaizad Yazdani told commissioners the acquisition would allow widening of the existing asphalt north of Conquistador and installation of curb, gutter and lighting.
