The Gautier City Council on Jan. 7 approved an emergency repair to a collapsed 30-inch gravity sewer main in the Robertsdale area and approved related payments and consent items.
Public works staff reported the 30-inch gravity sewer main was found collapsed the week before Christmas and the repair was made under emergency authority. The council approved payment to Bottom 2 Top Construction for the emergency repair after staff said the work was needed immediately to prevent sewage impacts to nearby waterways.
